WEB (Where Everyone Belongs)
WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) is Lawson Middle School’s student-led transition program designed to welcome and support incoming 6th graders as they begin their middle school journey.
At the heart of the program are our WEB Leaders. Dedicated 8th grade students who serve as positive role models, mentors, and guides to help 6th graders feel connected and confident during their first year at Lawson. Selected through an application and training process, WEB Leaders develop leadership, communication, and teamwork skills while creating a warm and inclusive community for all.
Each year, WEB kicks off with a fun and engaging orientation event just for 6th graders. This takes place the week before school starts—please check the school calendar for specific dates. During orientation, 6th graders meet their WEB Leaders, tour the campus, participate in team-building activities, and get a jump start on building friendships.
But WEB doesn’t end after orientation. Throughout the school year, WEB Leaders continue to host events and activities designed to build community, support student success, and promote kindness and belonging across campus.
At Lawson, WEB helps ensure that every student feels like they belong—from day one.
